Numerical Modeling & Analysis 

MMC Engineering is a joint venture between Maritime Engineering, LLC in Houston, Texas, and Maine Marine Composites LLC in Portland, Maine.  Together, the firms have a combined experience of over 100 years in the design and construction of vessels for marine transportation, offshore drilling and production, and floating power solutions, motion prediction for ships and platforms, analyses of fluid/structural dynamics, and mooring system design and simulation. 

Vessel analysis capabilities include trim and stability, longitudinal strength, structural design and FEA, speed and power, motions and stability, mooring analysis, vessel loading programs, pipe stress analysis, 3-dimensional structural and piping CAD representation, and regulatory compliance with domestic / international rules and classification societies.

In addition to analysis and simulation, MMC Engineering can develop microcontroller-based custom instrumentation systems including hardware, software, and sensors.
